How I work

As a certified health and lifestyle therapist, I have a holistic approach where I view you as a whole and consider physical, mental, spiritual and emotional aspects. With my background in social sciences, I also consider both individual and societal contexts that impact you and your life situation, as I believe this is crucial to really see and understand you. 

My coaching always include a thorough health assessment, allowing me to provide personalized recommendations tailored to your unique needs and goals. My aim is to provide you with guidance and practical tools to get to know yourself and your body on a deeper level, while effectively managing and improving your health. Remember, YOU are in charge – but it is nice to sometimes have backing along the way! 

Weekly written follow-ups keep us connected and monitor your journey, and I am committed to offering continuous support, encouraging you to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Food is a key factor for well-being, but this includes so many important aspects other than what you add or exclude from your plate. It's about things like energy, nutrition, deficiencies, your relationship with food, self- & body image, economy, politics, availability, accessibility, traditions, social & cultural factors etc. 

Movement

Movement should give us energy and do us good - not steal more resources than it provides. Find what type of movement practices are beneficial for you - can you feel the difference in your body? And, always balance it with recovery. 

Stress

Stress comes in 3 main shapes: physical, mental and organ stress. Whatever it looks like for you - stress is the key step to begin with. We often push ourselves relentlessly to achieve our goals, questioning why our efforts aren't working. The frustration and desire for improved health are valid, but sometimes, what's missing is actually taking a step back - to better see what YOU need. 

Menstrual cycle

I use menstrual cycle symtoms and tracking to get a fuller picture of your health situation, as the menstrual cycle constitutes the fifth vital sign of health for women - along with body temperature, breathing, pulse and blood pressure. Understanding your cycle helps better tailor your lifestyle and see what practical tools may suit the best to optimize your well-being.

Environment

It's not only personal lifestyle habits and what's inside your mind and body that are important health factors, but so is your environment and the society around you. Relationships, toxins, chemicals, privileges (or lack thereof) among other things. Just like available, accessible, affordable and quality healthcare for example, even basic needs like water, food and housing. 

Community

The social factors of well-being are not to be underestimated.
